Popular reading collection at Steelcase

A popular reading collection is now available at the Steelcase Library in the DeVos Center of the Pew campus downtown. Like its sister collection in the Café Bibliothèque area at the Zumberge Library on the Allendale campus, new titles arrive every month. You can browse the collection, or search the library's catalog for specific titles or authors.


Please note that only current GVSU students, staff, and faculty may check out books from this collection. Books circulate for a nonrenewable four week period. For more information about the popular reading collections, contact the library at 1-3500.

New Resource: The American Indian Experience

The University Libraries are happy to announce the addition of a new reference database.

"The American Indian Experience offers access to an online library, featuring more than 150 volumes of scholarship and reference content, hundreds of primary documents, and thousands of images. From Pre-contact to the present day, from the Inuit of the north to the Seminoles of Florida, AIE is meant for anyone wishing to learn more about America's Native Peoples."

RefWorks classes at Steelcase Library

RefWorks, the reference manager program, can save you lots of time and angst. This week the Steelcase Library is providing RefWorks instruction to help you get started with this powerful program. These half-hour sessions are designed to help you get started with RefWorks and provide individual assistance.

All sessions are from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m. January 26, 27, 28, and 29 in the Steelcase Library instruction room. Attend one, or attend them all. Refreshments will be provided; no reservations required. For more information, call 331-7338.
